Available Positions

Delivery Driver/Laborer

Reporting to the Hard Goods Department Manager, the Delivery Driver/Laborer will make deliveries and complete other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:

  • Supervising/installing fountains both at customer site and in the store
  • Assisting customers if asked to ensure their shopping experience is pleasant and productive. Must be able to deal with customer questions and complaints in a diplomatic manner at all times, with excellent customer service being the ultimate goal

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver and conduct fountain installation
  • Responsible for set-up and maintenance of fountains
  • Lift and carry merchandise up to 50 lbs
  • Work within a team as well as across departments to assist with any laborer needs
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures

Skills & Abilities

  • Must be able to work outside
  • Able to use skid steer and Bobcat equipment
  • Able to use a medium duty dump truck
  • Able to use and operate a Chevy 2500 Diesel pickup
  • Able to handle delivery equipment such as a box/landscape trailer
  • Able to tolerate periods of heat and cold
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others
  • Ability to verbally communicate with coworkers and customers
  • Able to work physically (i.e. walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching overhead and carrying 25-50 lbs)

Education & Experience

  • Working towards high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience working in a greenhouse or nursery a plus
  • Must be able to provide a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) upon employment
  • No criminal record

Hard Goods Team Lead

Reporting to and supporting the Hard Goods Department Head, the team lead position is the right hand to the department head. The team lead acts on the department head’s behalf, on occasion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help with daily tasks
  • Assure the department laborers and working and learning the tasks to ensure customers are receiving excellent service and tasks are people completed efficiently
  • Help order product
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Help solve employee problems and disagreements within the department
  • Provide assistance in other departments as needed

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent work quality, customer service, and communication skills
  • Punctual, dependable, show initiative, and be motivated with attention to safety
  • Show dignity and respect to all coworkers and customers
  • Have a cooperative attitude towards management and tasks that need to be completed
  • Able to confirm invoice information with actual product received
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Able to bend, squat, and reach overhead
  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Tolerate periods of heat and cold

Education, Credentials, & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a greenhouse or nursery is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of plants and their care is required
  • No criminal record
